Q.
How do I find accommodation, things to do or transportation?
A. There are several ways to search. If you know the town you wish to stay in you can simply type, for example, Hamilton in the 'Destination' text field at the top of the site. You can switch between accommodation, transportation and activities simply by using the drop boxes on the search tool. Then click go.

If you're unsure of the town you wish to stay in, click on the right hand maps to zoom in on regions to find destinations. Once you have reached your destination, you are given options for Accommodation, Activites and Attractions or Transportation.

Q. Can I book online?
A. Yes. Jasons also offers you the opportunity to make bookings via phone and email.

Q. How do I get FREE Jasons guides?
A. Simple. All you need to do is go to our Order Print Guides section on the top right of the page. Select either New Zealand, Australia or South Pacific from the menu on the left, select the 'quanity of guides', 'add', then 'checkout'.

How To Order:

  1. Indicate how many copies of each publication you would like to order.
  2. If you simply require one copy click on the add one' button.
  3. If you require more than one copy enter the quantity in the space provided and click 'add'.
    Note: The page refreshes after each item is added.
  4. To submit your order, click 'checkout' and follow the steps to complete your mailing details.  

Order limits:

  1. Individuals/families - One copy per guide with a maximum of 5 guides.
  2. Travel Agents and Trade - Please request your order quantities and we will confirm availability.

Postal Charges
All Jasons Publication Guides are free. Most postage within New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific Islands is is paid for by Jasons. For orders to the rest of the world we ask for payment of economy airmail costs. Postage charges also apply for large orders. Click here for full details.

Q. How can I advertise with Jasons?
A. Go to our pages on Print Advertising or Listing Your Business on www.jasons.com. These display contact details for our Jasons Sales Team and also displays information for advertising in New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific Islands, both print and online.

Q. What is My Jasons?
A. My Jasons is a program that allows you to manage your subscriptions, enter Explore! monthly competitions and maintain your personal details. Your My Jasons account also pre-populates fields in the booking enquiry forms to save you time.

Q. What is My Places?
A. My Places is a tool that allows you to bookmark listings that you are interested in.
You are also able to then print, email or save a pdf version of the listings that are saved in My Places. All bookings and properties that you have made enquiries to are also automatically saved so you can review them at any time.

Q. What is Explore! E-letter?
A. Explore! is a monthly email newsletter which includes Hot Deals, features and upcoming events in New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific. View the latest newsletter or sign up to receive a monthly Explore! newsletter.

Q.
How do I ensure Jasons e-letters are not received as spam?
A. You may experience problems receiving the Explore! or Business Traveller e-letters due to SPAM and junk mail filter settings. Here is a guide on how to ensure you receive Jasons e-letters: 

For Hotmail users:

You need to add Jasons to your Hotmail Safe List. Your Safe List can be accessed from the left hand side of your Contacts page.

1. Go to Hotmail and log in to your account.
2. Click 'Options' on the right hand side.
3. Click 'Safe and blocked senders'.
4. Click 'Safe senders'.
5. For Explore!, enter 'jasons-explore.com' and click 'Add to list'.
For Business Traveller, enter 'newsletter.businesstraveller.co.nz' and click 'Add to list'.

For Yahoo! users:

To prevent your Jasons emails being added to Yahoo's Bulk folder, log in to your Yahoo mail account and follow these steps.

1. Click 'Mail Options' at the top-right of the page.
2. Click 'Filters'.
3. Click 'Add'.
4. Enter 'jasons-explore' (for Explore!) or 'newsletter.businesstraveller' (for Business Traveller) as a 'From header'.
5. Select 'Move the message to Inbox'.
6. Click 'Add Filter'.

If you use other email providers:

Most email providers now have a junk mail or spam folder. You should check this folder regularly to ensure that email from Jasons isn't being put here rather than your Inbox.

You should also add Jasons to your contacts list or safe list to ensure that emails from Jasons are not blocked.

Q. I use Xtra email, and I am no longer receiving client enquiries by email from the Jasons website.
A. Xtra will be interpreting your enquiries as spam, or junk email. You will need to follow this process in order to fix the problem.

1. Go to this website: http://xtra.co.nz/home/0,,15021,00.html
2. Under 'Xtra Webmail' click on the 'Go There Now!' button.
3. Enter your Xtra email address and password and click 'Sign in'.
4. Click on 'Bulk' to open your junk mail folder.

5. Find a Jasons enquiry email and click on it to open.
The subject of these emails will look like this, for example: 0746613858 Jackie Howe Motel & Function Rooms
6. Click on the 'Not Spam' button.
7. On the 'Move' button, click on the arrow to select either your inbox, or another folder to move the message to.
